Is It Dirt or Buildup?

Laundry & Linen Week is a good reminder: it’s rarely “dirt.” It’s buildup.

White bedding turns yellow or gray over time due to buildup from body oils and proteins, food and grease, detergent residue, and hard water minerals that remain in the fabric.

Once that buildup sets, standard washing under fixed conditions often just maintains the cycle instead of removing it.

The properties that keep whites consistently bright don’t just wash more aggressively. They control the process:
✅ The right balance of time, temperature, mechanical action, and chemistry
✅ Consistent formulas across loads
✅ Rinse performance that actually clears residue
✅ Water quality that doesn’t work against the wash

Starting with textiles designed to resist yellowing helps delay buildup from the start.
Process determines how well that advantage is maintained.
